Daughter of fisherfolks Raul and Mary Jane Villamejor tells the story about their struggles to put their daughter in college. According to them, even since her childhood she would wake up at dawn them sell the fish her father gets at sea the night before.
According to Regine, ever since she took up her course Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Commerce Major in Communication, she often hears her parents argue about money, yet they still managed to lift each other up.
She also said that, she has once asked her father whether he wanted to take a break from fishing. However, her father said that if he wanted to do that, he will strive harder to catch more fish so that she could finish her studies.
Regine's inspiring story is proof that one should never let poverty be a hindrance to success.
